Kugaaruk, Nunavut

Kugaaruk (Syllabics: ᑳᒑᕐᑭᓪ) formerly known as Pelly Bay until 3 December 1999) is located on the shore of Gulf of Boothia in Canada's Nunavut Territory. Access is by air and by annual supply sea-lift. Kugaaruk means "little stream",[1] the traditional name of the brook that flows through the village.
Population is 605 according to the 2001 Census.
It is the location of the Coldest Windchill Recorded in Canada which was -92.3°C (-134.1°F).[1]
