Lisa Hayes is one of the fictional characters in the first Robotech anime television series. She is known as Misa Hayase in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, the series which was adapted into the first saga of Robotech. The only daughter of Admiral Donald Hayes, Lisa is the first officer of the Super Dimension Fortress One, serving under Captain Henry J. Gloval and with fellow bridge officers Claudia Grant, Kim Young, Sammy Porter, and Vanessa Leeds (the later three sometimes referred to as The "Bridge Bunnies").
During the First Robotech War, Lisa played a major role in the survival of the SDF-1 as it fought with Zentradi forces. After a miscalculated fold maneuver transported the SDF-1 and Macross City past the orbit of Pluto, Lisa time and again saved the ship with her quick thinking and actions as well as her continuous attention to detail and duty as First Officer. During a battle near Saturn, Lisa created the Daedelaus Maneuver as a means of attacking and destroying an enemy Zentradi vessel. When the SDF-1 was trapped on Mars by gravity mines, Lisa set the power generators of Sara Base to overload. The ensuing explosion took out the gravity mines, allowing the fortress to take off.
During the First Robotech War, Lisa came to know a brash young hotshot pilot named Rick Hunter. Despite a rocky start, Lisa and Rick came to respect each other and served together in the Robotech Defense Force. Lisa and Rick's personal relationship would continue to mature and progress into friendship and love. Rick and Lisa married in 2020.
After the end of the First Robotech War, Lisa would earn command of the Super Dimension Fortress Two. Unfortunately, this command would be short-lived as the SDF-2 would be destroyed by Zentradi renegade Khyron in 2012. The SDF-1 was also destroyed in this battle.
In 2020, Lisa, now an Admiral, would take command of the SDF-3, flagship of the Robotech Expeditionary Force to Tirol. The Mission's primary goal was to find the Robotech Masters and forge a peace in order to prevent another catastrophic war on Earth. The SDF-3 went missing during an attempted hyperspace fold back to Earth for the final battle of the Third Robotech War with the Invids. The location of Admiral Hayes and the SDF-3 are still unknown.
