List of mayors of Kansas City

Kansas City, Missouri mayors served one year terms until 1946 when they began serving four-year terms. When Kansas City was incorporated on March 18, 1853, it had an area 0.98 square miles and a population of 2,500. Since the 1920s the city has had a council-manager government in which a city manager runs most of the day to day operations of the city. Mayors include:
