Lu Yongxiang

Lu Yongxiang (Simplified Chinese:路甬祥; Traditional Chinese:路甬祥; pinyin:Lù Yǒngxiáng) (born April, 1942) is president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
From 1985 to 1987, Lu served as vice president of Zhejiang University, and from 1988 to 1995 president of Zhejiang University. He was assigned vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in November 1993. In June 1994, he was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. In July 1997, he was assigned president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Professor Yongxiang Lu, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, would be awarded an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree by the University of Auckland[1] on 13/Nov/2006. Source:Auckland University News[2]
