Lucien Revolucien

Lucien Revolucien, also known as Lucien M'B and 'Papalu', is a pioneer of french Hip-Hop. Lucien was raised in the southern suburbs or Paris, Perhaps in Creil, where he was a member of the "Requins Vicieux" street gang. After a short stay in jail, Lucien left France and moved to New York.
Lucien Revolucien is featured on Afrika Bambaataa's 1989 release, "Hip-Hop Against Apartheid"/"L'Unité Africaine" as part of the french Hip-Hop group Assassin. Lucien also MC'd historical late-night Live Hip-Hop sessions with Dj DeeNasty on RadioNova, a Paris radio station, from 1988(*) to 1993(*)

A Tribe Called Quest included a song dedicated to Lucien( "Luck Of Lucien") on their first LP, "People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm".
