Makario Stadium is an all seater multi purpose stadium in Nicosia, Cyprus. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Digenis Morphou. The stadium holds 16,000 people. In the past was the home stadium of the Nicosian teams, AC Omonia, APOEL FC and Olympiakos. Sometimes it was the home stadium of the Cypriot national team. It was built in between 1977 and 1978 and the stadium is named after Makarios III, the Ethnarch of Cyprus; Archbishop and first President of Cyprus. It has hosted many Cyprus Cup and Super Cup finals.
