Manurewa train station is located on the Southern Line of the Auckland Railway Network. The station has a Side platform layout connected by a pedestrian overpass. Access to the station is from both Selwyn Road & SouthMall Shopping Centre.
The station has a large park and ride facility and many local bus services connect with the railway station.

- 2006: A new station was opened, this time located further south of the old station. This one is Manurewa's third station -- the previous two stations were located to the north of the present site.
