Manzoor Ahmad

Prof. Dr. Manzoor Ahmed (Urdu: منظور احمد) is a noted philosopher and scholar of Pakistan.
Born on March 1, 1934 in Rampur UP, and brought up in Karachi, Dr. Manzoor is well versed in many languages including, Arabic, English, Persian and Urdu. He earned his doctoral degree from London University and been head of many national and international organizations. He is also member of Council of Islamic Ideology.
He holds the vice chancellorship of Karachi University and also the Chairmanship of Usman Institute of Technology (UIT), Hamdard University. At present he is the Chancellor of Islamic International University, Islamabad and member of Islami Nazaryati Council (Council of Islamic Ideology).
Dr. Manzoor has penned more than 50 research articles for international peer reviewed journals and periodicals. He has written many books on philosophy, religion and social sciences. Some of his important work includes:
