[edit] Family and Education
Her father is Robert W. Miller, who made his fortune in duty-free retail. Her mother is Maria Clara "Chantal" Pesantas, born in Ecuador. She has two sisters, Pia Getty, the former wife of oil heir Christopher Getty, and Alexandra von Fürstenberg, the former wife of Alexandre von Fürstenberg, only son of fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg.
Born in London, Marie-Chantal was raised in Hong Kong until the age of 10. She and her sisters Pia and Alexandra, were educated at Institut Le Rosey in Switzerland between 1977 and 1982. In Paris, France, she studied at a bilingual school (1982-1986), after that she studied one year at the Academy of Arts in New York City. Later she picked up her studies again, studying art history at New York University.
[edit] Marriage and Children
In 1995 she was engaged to Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, whom she married in London on 1 July 1995.
The couple have four children:
- Maria Olympia, Princess of Greece and Denmark 25 July 1996 in New York
- Konstantinos-Alexios, Prince of Greece and Denmark 29 October 1998 in New York
- Achileas Andreas, Prince of Greece and Denmark 12 August 2000 in New York

[edit] Titles and styles
Crown Princess Marie-Chantal has used the following titles and styles:
- Miss Marie-Chantal Claire Miller (1968-1995)
- Her Royal Highness The Crown Princess of Greece, Princess of Denmark (1995-)
- Alternatively, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sparta (1995-)
Her full title is occasionally given as Her Royal Highness Marie-Chantal Claire, The Crown Princess Pavlos of Greece, Princess of Denmark, Duchess of Sparta. The title Duchess of Sparta (as wife of the "Duke of Sparta", the Crown Prince) was used outside of Greece but its use is waning. The title was created by George I of Greece for his son, Constantine, overlooking one point: The Greek Constitution forbade the creation of titles outside of those already inherited within the Royal Family.
