Hi, good to have you with us. I just wanted to give you a heads-up; the text you posted for John H. Yoder is from an obit by the New York Times, and as such is copyrighted material. Sorry, but we can't print it here. If you've posted anything else from a copyrighted source, please take it down. You can find guidelines at Wikipedia: Copyrights in the "Contributors' rights and obligations" section. Good luck, and good to have you with us. Meelar 05:25, 9 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Hi, I just got a chance to look at your rewrite of John H. Yoder again, and it was fine. I posted it in the main article. Thanks. I think the article should explain more about his views. What were Yoder's ideas, and what impact did they have? How did they differ from other theologians of his time? I don't know this stuff, but you might, so if you have some time...it'd be helpful. Thanks very much, and nice work! Meelar 05:13, 14 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Doing some random maintenance, I noticed that the new article on John H. Yoder is the text from the worship folder for the memorial service, available here. Unless you prepared this text, I'm pretty sure that it can't be used here. I think Yoder deserves an article; why not try writing one yourself? Don't worry about the writing style; just get the ideas down, and plenty of other people will be more than willing to help you out. That's the nature of a wiki. Meelar 02:14, 16 Jan 2004 (UTC)
Note: I'm sorry I had to remove the additional text, in addition to the stuff from the worship folder. Better safe than sorry, though; I wouldn't want us to get sued. It's still available (if it's your own writing) if you want to incorporate it into a new article, just check the page history. Meelar 02:20, 16 Jan 2004 (UTC)
