[edit] Birthplace
Where is his birthplace? --Sheynhertzגעשׁ״ך 03:19, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- Khimki (Russian: Химки) near Moscow - the name relates to Chemistry, because Khimki is a one of the centers of chemical production in Russia. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sheynhertz-Unbayg/sig (talk • contribs) 03:19, 25 November 2005.

- The name Khimki isn't related to chemistry, but to small river Khimka. Khimki never was a centre of chemical production. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lie-G (talk • contribs) 19:04, 5 May 2006.
[edit] Relatives
Kontsevich is an uncommon name --- I'm guessing he has some relation to Lev Kontsevich, the scholar of Korean studies? (The guy who created the Kontsevich system for transcribing Korean words into Russian). Anyone got a source? cab 09:26, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Evidence for it: his patronymic starts with an "L" [1], and [2] describes his father as "an expert on Korean language and history". But nothing concrete yet. cab 01:29, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
