[edit] South Shore Line
Sure, it's a technicality very often overlooked, but the South Shore Line isn't Metra, unless "Metra" is being used as a shorthand for "Chicagoland Commuter Rail". However, there are some real consequences for making that assumption -- one of which is the monthly passes and weekend passes are not interchangable, because they are two seperate systems. I really think this needs to be altered so that it's more accurate: either by renaming and retooling the infobox to incorporate two different passenger rail systems, or by eliminating "South Shore Line" from it. - Thats a good point, and honestly, I've been debating on how to include the SSL in the info boxes I've been making for stations. At the moment, its included under the Metra Electric line (see Van Buren Street (Metra) for example), but I think I need to retool {Metra line} to either distinguish the SSL, or give it a seperate box entirely. -- Loco830/Espio (Rant) 20:29, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

- I've never messed around with infobox formatting, otherwise I would create something that looks similar to what you've got here, and gets the job done. But I think adding a line similar to the one you've got there for "Metra" that says "NICTD", then placing "South Shore Line" (with maroon color box?) under it, just like you've got "Metra" and "Metra Electric Line". -- On the other hand, to do Hegewisch on out to South Bend, we're gonna need something that can be differentiated from Metra. Maybe two seperate, but similar-looking, infoboxes is the way to go? -- On the third hand, maybe a unified infobox is okay, too. Something that says "Chicagoland Commuter Rail" on the top, followed by a "Metra" or an "NICTD", then the line and color and station information under that subheading. I can see it a few different ways. -- Either way, you've taken on quite a project, and thanks for the work you're doing! Gws57 20:52, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- The new infoboxes are less ambiguous, are more accurate, and look nice. Thank you! Gws57 17:27, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
