Miss Oklahoma USA
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Miss Oklahoma USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Oklahoma in the Miss USA pageant.
Oklahoma has never won the Miss USA title, although they came close in 1989 when Jill Scheffert placed 1st runner-up to the final Texas Ace Michelle Royer. They are in the top 20 states in terms of number of semi-finalists. Their most recent success was in 2005 when Laci Scott, one of only three eighteen-year-olds at the pageant, advanced to the finals.
Three Miss Oklahoma USAs have previously competed at Miss Teen USA, two as Miss Oklahoma Teen USA and one as Miss Illinois USA. Three have also competed at Miss America.
