Miyoshi Masanaga

Miyoshi Masanaga (????-1548?) a notable daimyo within the province of Awa during the Sengoku period (16th century) of Japan. Masanaga was well known as to being the uncle of the famed Miyoshi Chokei. Masanaga had very strong relations with that of the Ikeda clan, due to the fact that Ikeda Nagamasa had been married to his daughter. Due to this strong relation between families, Masanaga's cousin, Chokei, had considered him as a major threat to his power. Following the year of 1548, Masanaga would wage a large battle against his cousin, resulting in Chokei' victory. It is not known if Masanaga was killed during this battle, due to the fact that he is not truly noted after this point.
