Montescudo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rimini in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 120 km southeast of Bologna and about 15 km south of Rimini, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,437 and an area of 19.9 km2.[1]
The municipality of Montescudo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Albereto, Santa Maria del Piano, and Trarivi.
Montescudo borders the following municipalities: Coriano, Faetano (San Marino), Gemmano, Monte Colombo, Sassofeltrio.
