Morris L. Goodman

Morris L. Goodman was the first Jewish Los Angeles citycouncilman. He served from 1850 to 1854. He was the only American on that council; everyone else were Mexican nationals. In 1854, he went on to become a deputy sheriff in the San Fernando Valley.
