Murray M. Baker (?-?) was a former President of Caterpillar Inc..
The Murray Baker Bridge, which carries Interstate 74 over the Illinois River, is named for Baker, who was the first vice president of Holt Manufacturing Co. Baker convinced Holt to move to Peoria in 1909, which merged with C.L. Best Gas Tractor Co. to form Caterpillar in 1925.
The Foster College of Business Administration at Bradley University is housed in Baker Hall, also named after Baker.
