New Hampshire's 1st congressional district

New Hampshire's first congressional district covers the south-eastern part of New Hampshire including Carroll, and Strafford counties as well as most of Belknap and Rockingham counties and small portions of Hillsborough and Merrimack counties.
The district consists of three general areas: Greater Manchester, the Seacoast and the Lakes Region.
It is currently represented in the United States House of Representatives by Republican Jeb Bradley. Bradley was defeated by Democratic Party candidate Carol Shea-Porter in the 2006 Midterm Elections.
