NicePlayer is a Mac OS X multimedia player that uses the QuickTime library, allowing it to support any codec that Quicktime supports. It also has an open-ended plugin system which allows anyone to write a plugin to support different codecs or content that even Quicktime doesn't, such as DVD playback. One such plugin is XinePlayer Plugin for NicePlayer which is based on XineKit of XinePlayer which in turn is based on Xine.
