Nick Fury's Howling Commandos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nick Fury's Howling Commandos is a fictional comic book team in the Marvel Comics universe, composed of preexisting Marvel supernatural characters employed as a unit of the espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D.. Although Marvel superspy hero Nick Fury is the title character, he only appears in a cameo in the first issue. The title of the series, which was canceled after six issues, is a play on that of Marvel's World War II comic Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos.
The series sole writer was Keith Giffen. Eduardo Francisco provided the artwork for the first two issues, followed by a rotating cast of Dan Norton, Derec Aucoin, and Derec Donovan.
