November's Chopin (Traditional Chinese: 十一月的蕭邦, Simplified Chinese: 十一月的萧邦, pinyin: Shíyīyuè de Xiāobāng) is the 6th album by the Taiwanese R&B and Rap artist (and composer) mega star, Jay Chou, and was first released on November 1, 2005, on par with Jay's norm of releasing one major album per year. Aside from the ten original new songs from a total of twelve songs, the album also included the theme song and the interlude song that Jay composed and performed for the hit movie Initial D (film), in which also found Jay's own first acting in a real movie. The album's title, November's Chopin, refers to Frédéric Chopin, a.k.a. "The Poet of the Piano", the 19th century Polish composer who greatly inspired and also earned to be one of Jay Chou's all time favorite and respected composers. Jay also threw in a little pun by both naming and releasing his album in November. The words bleak and gloomy that often describe the month of November are also the very words that are usually used to depict the mood of Chopin's work. This album features considerably fewer rap songs in it than his other albums.
The music video for the album's opening track "Nocturne" was filmed with backgrounds in New York. The release also comes with 3 music videos on a separate VCD.
