Qujaga
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Qujaga is a fictional water-covered planet on the science fiction television show Farscape. It is home to the Eidelons, a race that lives there in secret.
Qujaga is first seen in final moments of the series. The crew has taken Moya there to help heal her temporary separation from Pilot. The planetwide ocean has a number of chemicals and nutrients that aid in rehealing of Moya's and Pilot's bond.
Though the planet appears at first to be uninhabited, a ship soon appears and shoots a boat that has Aeryn Sun and John Crichton in it, crystallizing its occupants. The crew of Moya soon learn that the ship has come from a nearby island, which was hidden by a concealment canopy, a type of cloaking device that surrounded the island and protected its inhabitants. The crew of Moya eventually convince the aliens that they are little threat and they aid them in recovering Aeryn's and Crichton's crystallized remains.
60 solar days after they are crystallized, the aliens reanimate Aeryn and Crichton with the help of a Diagnosan. It is around this time that Noranti discovers that the aliens are Eidelons, an ancient race once known for their unequalled ability in creating peace. Their presence is also discovered by the Peacekeepers thanks to an apparent link between Scorpius and his neural clone Harvey.
When the Scarrans discover the Eidelons' abilities and the Peacekeeper's interest in them, they send a fleet to the planet, attacking the Eidelons' once hidden island and slaughtering all they can find. Qujaga is eventually destroyed by the gravitational forces of Crichton's wormhole weapon, shortly after the surviving Eidelons have been evacuated.
