Røyrvik is a municipality in the county of Nord-Trøndelag, Norway.
The area has always had Sami influence, which is reflected in the municipality shield, not illustrated here. Large lakes (Limingen being the 9th largest) and mountain areas offer plentiful opportunity for outdoor activities.
From 1911 to the first World War, mining explorations were conducted in the Gjersvik areas. The modern Grong Gruber mines were active in the Joma area from 1972 to 1998. Farming and some reindeer business have always been a source of income. The mining buildings now house various small industrial firms. A few efforts to create new business include electronics assembly and electronic document management. A small alpine skiing resort (Skisenteret) was started in 1986.
