The River Tame is a river in the north west of England. It rises on Denshaw Moor near the West Yorkshire/Greater Manchester border, and flows south through Delph, Uppermill, Mossley, Stalybridge, Ashton-under-Lyne, Dukinfield, Haughton Green, Denton and Hyde.
It joins the River Goyt at Stockport, forming the River Mersey. The Greater Manchester borough of Tameside is named after it.
