[edit] What does your name mean?
"Rohirok" is a backwards version of Korihor, an atheist character in the Book of Mormon. Why did I choose it? I'm not sure now. Though I am an atheist, I am not an ex-Mormon, as one might guess. I don't really identify with the character, as he is just a literary device used to illustrate the principle (false, in my opinion), that everyone deep down knows there is a God. It has a sort of Scandinavian look and sound to it, I think, which I like. It is pronounced "roe-hir-ək." I've used it as a username for online games for years. Strangely, the word seems to pop up in foreign language sites relating to JRR Tolkien's Middle Earth, but I do not know what language these sites are using.
[edit] What are were you doing here?
I'm not sure. Wasting, maybe. Right now, I just keep my eyes on certain lists of people, to make sure no new entries are added without a source. "Deleted unsourced new entry" has become my most common edit summary these days. I'm proud of what I accomplished on two lists in particular: List of agnostics and List of Telecaster players. As of this writing, they are more well sourced than the vast majority of other lists of people. It's hard to maintain the quality of these lists, as it seems people are naturally inclined to just slip in a new name without providing a source to back it up. When I delete these new entries, it's a challenge to people: back up your claims if you want them included. Unfortunately, most people don't seem to care to do this.

An overdue award for all your exhaustive work on the List of Telecaster players article. It's an excellent resource now and it's all thanks to your efforts. Cheers! Anger22 01:53, 31 August 2006 (UTC) |
