Shahram Nazeri

Shahram Nazeri (Persian: شهرام ناظرى , Kurdish: Şehram Naziry) is a contemporary Kurdish Iranian musician who sings classical Persian and Kurdish music. He is one of Iran's most popular singers.
He was born in 1950 to a Kurdish family in Kermanshah, Iran. His family was musical and he started studying music at an early age. He is said to have started singing in public at the age of eight [1].
He specializes in the rich tradition of Sufi music, which turns to song the mystical poetry of Rumi, Hafiz, Attar, and others.
He has studied with distinguished Persian classical musicians such as:
- Abdullah Davami
- Abdol Ali Vaziri
- Jalal Zolfonoun
- Mohammad Reza Shajarian
