[edit] Early Career
Stipich attended Boise State University, where he wrestled at an amateur level. He later trained as a professional wrestler under Dory Funk, Jr. and debuted in 1996 as Shawn Stasiak in the Pacific Coast Championship Wrestling promotion.
[edit] World Wrestling Federation
Stasiak soon got a WWF development deal and was sent to Power Pro Wrestling, where he stayed until he was called up to the WWF to wrestle as Meat, the boy-toy for the "Pretty Mean Sisters" of Terri Runnels, Jacqueline, and Ryan Shamrock (who left WWF after a few months). He made his WWF debut on the April 18, 1999 episode of Sunday Night HEAT, to attack Tiger Ali-Singh. Meat picked up many impressive victories for a few months including superstars such as Droz, Brian Christopher, and the Blue Meanie but eventually he was used as a jobber because Terri would tire out Meat before his matches by having sex and when he lost Terri would yell at Meat leading to Jacqueline leaving Meat and Terri by themselves.
The gimmick only lasted a few months before he split from Terri after Terri saw Meat kissing Marianna, Terri's nemesis on the Titantron which led to her and Chaz attacking Meat. In the next couple weeks Meat returned to his first ring name Shawn Stasiak. He had a brief feud with Kurt Angle and returned as a jobber for the next few months.
Stasiak was later suspended in December of 1999 when other wrestlers accused him of secretly taping conversations. Most notably was when Steve Blackman and The British Bulldog were riding in a car with Stasiak, and realized he was recording everything that was being said. Stasiak was fired a few weeks after that.
[edit] World Championship Wrestling
Shawn Stasiak went to WCW in 2000, where he got his biggest push in his career. Stasiak debuted in April, attacking Curt Hennig. He later joined the "New Blood" Faction and feuded with Curt Hennig. He was called the "Perfect One" and, later, "PerfectShawn" Stasiak in a ripoff of Hennig's old WWE "Mr. Perfect" gimmick. Stasiak picked up two impressive victories over Curt Hennig.
In June, he formed the team the "Perfect Event" with Chuck Palumbo, and they won the WCW World Tag Team Titles. Their main feud was against "Kronik" (Brian Adams & Bryan Clark).
In August, Stasiak and Palumbo helped form the Natural Born Thrillers with Mike Sanders, Sean O'Haire, Mark Jindrak, Johnny "The Bull" Stamboli, and Reno. They were briefly "coached" by Kevin Nash.
He and Palumbo won the WCW World Tag Team Titles two more times before splitting in early January 2001 when Shawn and Chuck won a tag team battle royal with Sean O'Haire and Mark Jindrak. Mike Sanders declared both teams victorious and that one member from each team would start teaming together and get a tag team title shot against the Insiders (Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash).
Shawn and Chuck split, and Chuck began teaming with Sean O'Haire. Chuck and Sean defeated the Insiders and became tag team champions while Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak began teaming together.
In January 2001, the Natural Born Thrillers broke up when Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak became jealous of Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire. The two teams faced off at SuperBrawl Revenge on February 18, 2001 for the tag team gold, but Palumbo and O'Haire retained their titles.
In March 2001, Stasiak acquired the services of Miss Hancock as his valet. Stasiak was given monikers Shawn 'The Star' Stasiak and 'The Mecca Of Manhood', as he was seen as the greatest thing in wrestling to Hancock. He also started a feud with Bam Bam Bigelow that wound up with Stasiak defeating Bigelow on the very last WCW Nitro on March 26, 2001. When Vince McMahon and the WWE purchased WCW and most of the talent contracts, Stasiak was among them.
[edit] Return to WWF / The Alliance
Shawn Stasiak returned to the WWF in July 2001 as part of the Alliance after WCW was bought by the WWF. Stasiak won his first WWF pay-per-view match at WWF/WCW InVasion where he, Chris Kanyon, and Hugh Morrus defeated Big Show, Billy Gunn, and Albert. Through August he was made out to be clumsy trying to impress the Alliance leader Stone Cold Steve Austin, but every time he tried attacking big WWF superstars such as The Rock or Kurt Angle he would run into a wall, statue, milk truck, or just completely miss and trip over his boots. In late August, Stasiak was also briefly paired with Stacy Kiebler again, but she stopped being his valet in late September to manage the Dudley Boyz. He was injured soon after and was out of action until late October, returning as a jobber still. On November 18 at Survivor Series 2001, Stasiak lost his job (in kayfabe) along with all of the Alliance members, as the story went, when Team WWF defeated Team Alliance. However, the Alliance members still worked house shows and dark matches for a while until being ready to be called up to the main active roster, but Stasiak was injured in late November and it required surgery on his knee to remove his bursa sac but was cleared to wrestle January 1, 2002.
In February of 2002, Shawn Stasiak was sent to the Heartland Wrestling Alliance for training and to work off the ring rust.
Shawn Stasiak was called up to the RAW brand in Late March 2002 and had his return televised match on the April 7, 2002 edition of WWE HEAT defeating Tommy Dreamer and the following week on HEAT Stasiak was defeated by Goldust.
Stasiak made his return to RAW on April 15, 2002 under his new gimmick Planet Stasiak. He claimed that he was from Planet Stasiak, and he heard voices, talked to himself with rhymes and basically acted insane. On this same night Stasiak was defeated by The Big Show, and the following week on RAW proved Stasiak was going to be used as a jobber under this new gimmick when he was pinned in 10 seconds by William Regal after running right into a fist full of Brass Knuckles.
This gimmick did nothing for Shawn Stasiak's career, as he showed up on Raw only a few times, losing on every occasion. He traded the Hardcore title several times with Steven Richards, Justin Credible, Bradshaw, and Tommy Dreamer. He remained on HEAT and lost almost every match that he was in until he was fired again on September 27, 2002.
[edit] Semi-Retirement
Stasiak then retired to become a chiropractor. He recently attended Parker Community College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas and received his doctorate in chiropractic in August 2006. He still occasionally makes wrestling appearences from time to time
On January 20, 2006, Shawn Stasiak w/General Skandor Akbar defeated Lance Hoyt at a Pxxtreme atriotic Pro Wrestling event.
