Sherri Steinhauer

Sherri Steinhauer (born December 27, 1962) is an American golfer who currently plays on the LPGA Tour. She was born in Madison, Wisconsin and attended The University of Texas at Austin. Her rookie season on the LPGA Tour was 1986. She has won seven tournaments on the Tour, including two major championships, the 1992 du Maurier Classic and 2006 Women's British Open. She also won the British Open in 1998 and 1999 before it became an LPGA major.
Steinhauer finished in the top ten on the money list twice, placing seventh in both 1994 and 1999 and played for the United States in the Solheim Cup in 1994, 1998 and 2000.
