Shunde

Shunde (Traditional Chinese: 順德, Simplified Chinese: 顺德, pinyin: Shùndé; Yale Cantonese: Seun6 dak1) is a county-level city in the prefecture of Foshan in the Pearl River Delta, Guangdong Province, southeast China.
It boasts canals still used by barges and a street of restored colonial architecture named Hua Lu.
Since the open door policy in Mainland China, Shunde is enthusiastic in industrial manuafacturing and development, especially electric appliance, in which some of Mainland's famous brandnames (e.g. Kelon 科龙) are from Shunde. Also with its excellent geographical position to sustain its agriculture, Shunde becomes one of the wealthy counties in Guangdong, and even in Mainland China, and in even the world, according to official information from the Chinese Government and the United Nations.
Tourist attractions include the Qinghui Garden (清晖园) featuring fish ponds surrounded by osmanthus, bamboo and mulberry bushes, and the nearby Qinghai Yuan restaurant, known for its classic Cantonese cuisine.
Martial artist Bruce Lee's ancestral roots came from Gwan'on in Seundak (Shunde), Guangdong. (广东顺德均安, Guangdong Shunde Jun'An). There is a street in the village is named after Bruce Lee where his ancestral home is situated. The home is open for public access.
