Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy

The Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy is a cricket trophy, awarded annually to the leading cricketer of the year by the International Cricket Council. It was first awarded in 2004.
The award is voted for by an academy of 50, which includes current national team captains, members of the Elite panel of ICC umpires and referees, prominent former players and cricket correspondents. In the event of a tie in the voting, the award is shared. The judging period is from 1 August to 31 July the next year.
