Sir John Leman High School

Sir John Leman High School is a mixed-sex, 13-18 comprehensive school serving part of the Waveney region in north Suffolk, England. It has approximately 1400 students, including a sixth form of around 300 students. It has been a Technology College for over 4 years. In the most recent Ofsted inspection report (February 2006) it was rated as a 'good' school with a 'good' sixth form. In 2006 the GCSE A*-C pass rate was 60%, up 6% from the previous year. At Advanced Level students consistently achieve 300+ points (UCAS tariff). For fuller information on performance in all exams see the DfES performance tables.
The Sir John Leman High School has a large number of student run bands and groups, most notable of these are the Semi-legendary Plan nine, others include Fistful of colours, Incandescent and 'Rawr Stinkhole' The schools music department is usually supportive in the formation of new bands and regularly rents out music equipment and practice rooms for the students.
