Slang dictionary
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A slang dictionary is a reference book containing an alphabetical list of slang, vernacular vocabulary not generally acceptable in formal usage, usually including information given for each word, usually including meaning, pronunciation, and etymology. A slang dictionary may be synonymous with an urban dictionary.
Slang dictionaries have been compiled based on locale and culture. They are of interest to oral historians.
