Spheres (hangul:스피어즈) is a Korean animated series. It is a product of the major anime broadcaster Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation, and the animation was done by Studio Kaab. The story centers on the family and student character Spheres, a science psychology in Sphere squirrel. and with it Korean animation is Nalong.

Untraceable in human history, Spheres Kingdom existed upon our earth long ago. The people of the Spheres kingdom would be regarded today as people with psychic powers. Unfortunately, as the gap widened more and more between the social classes, like most other civilizations, Spheres Kingdom were troubled by those greedy for power, and in the end collapsed. Na Yeon is a mysterious girl who was found in the Antarctic after the destruction of Spheres Kingdom. One day Asten, the chairman of Sphere Union who has a burning ambition to get the world in his hand, sent his followers to keep watch on Na Yeon. Na Yeon and her friends try to keep three artefacts, the important keys to conquer the world, from the hands of Sphere Union.

Na Yeon (나연)

She is the main character of the story. She used to live in a small village with her parents until she discovers her special talents. She believes that everything can be done if there's enough hope and trust. She uses Spheres Phoenix which only she can control as she's only remaining member of <Ancient Spheres>.

Ho Joon (호준)

He is a member of <New-Spheres>. Both of his parents are Spheres possessors and he has ambition to become the best of all the Spheres. He has ability to use all kinds of powers but is good at nothing which is his weak point. He uses Spheres Storm which reflects his personality clearly.

Jin (진)

Asten's only son and a student at An Il Hwan's school. Working as a singer with Tilla as part of <Sphere Union>'s plan. He meets Na Yeon while searching for the kid who Headmaster (An Il Hwan) took away. Jin looks more mature than kids at his age and is idol of every girls. He is a polite guy with cold personality. He wears tiger mask when he's on mission to keep his cover as a spy. Later in series, he abandons <Spheres Union> He uses Spheres Thunder which is enpowered by human technology.

Nalong (나롱이)

He is a male baby flying squirrel. His wings are not big enough to make him fly. He likes taking a nap and eating chocolate balls. It seems that he can communicate with Na Yeon.

Gong Joo (공주)

Tiosnia Uconio Viergongju. Claims herself as Papaoh Kingdom's Princess, but nobody believes it. She uses Spheres Flower which can detect dangers. Note: 'Gongju' is princess in Korean.

Ria (리아)

She is a member of <New-Spheres>. She's taller than people at her age. She always speaks simply and doesn't speak much. She was born in Canada but she had to move to Korea after causing an accident because of her uncontrollable powers. She's kind of leader of <New-Spheres>. Although she cannot control her powers, she is rather clever and because of that, she prefer to use her head and computer instead of her uncontrollable powers. She is also a game maniac. She uses Spheres Power Brain which has ability to find weaknesses of enemy.

Seo Dong (서동)

He is a member of <New-Spheres>. He used to make predictions for people in a temple in a mountain until the leader of monks threw him out. He later realizes that predicting future is dangerous. He uses Sphere Wind which acts as compass.

Tilla (틸라)

Female humanoid robot. She existed before Jin was born. Relationships between Jin and her are complex as she is mother and female companion of Jin. Her energy source is water. Jin's attention towards Na Yeong makes her feel jealiousy.

Principal An Il Hwan (안일환 교장선생님)

Grandfather of Na Yeon. He is very gentle and never yells at children. He is very interested in the origin of Spheres. He built a school for geniuses where ancient Spheres society used to be, and in this school, he created a club called <New-Spheres> which only Sphere users can participate in. He trains young Spheres users in this club. He believes that children's have infinite possibilities.

Asten (아스텐)

Leader of <Sphere Union> and father of Jin. He collected the Sphere users from all over the world and made an entertainment company called <Sphere Union> which is just his setup to take over the world.

Teacher Joo Ah Ra (주아라 선생님)

She respects the headmaster who raised her. As his student, she is very skillful. She is founder of club <New-Spheres> and she is also self-claimed career advisor. Although she's an adult, she is very innocent and shows foolish sides. She's a kind person who uses honorific to children.
