Standing triple jump
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The standing triple jump is an athletic sport. As with conventinal triple jump the event involves three phases. The first phase is a hop, which requires the athlete to take-off and land with the same foot. The next phase is a step, landing on the opposite foot, and is followed by the jump. Competitors must begin the first phase without a run up to the take-off board. The winner is the competitor who achieves the greatest distance out of all of their attempts.
