Stratonis Insula

Stratonis Insula was an island in the Gulf of Aden or the Red Sea between the harbor Elaea and the harbor Saba. (Strabo xvi. 8; Plin. vi. 29. s. 34.) There are numerous islands in the southern Red Sea and at its juncture with the Gulf of Aden – is has not been possible to pinpoint which of them corresponds to Stratonis.
