Italian Job: Stunt Track is an amusement ride currently open at Paramount Canada's Wonderland and Paramount's King's Island. It is themed around the climactic chase scene at the end of the 2003 film The Italian Job. The ride features unique trains which seat riders in ¾ scale MINI Cooper cars. Heavy theming and special effects are incorporated throughout the ride and include sound effects played by speakers built into the trains, a helicopter that attacks riders with simulated machine gun fire, and pyrotechnic and water effects.
Italian Job: Stunt Track has been criticized by many fans for poor theming upkeep at Canada's Wonderland; as of July 2006, the on-car sound effects, lights, 'fishtailing' effect, and stair vibration fail to function.
The Italian Job: Turbo Coaster at Paramount's King's Dominion has the same layout, but a different name. Italian Job: Stunt Track replaced the antique cars at Kings Island. At Kings Dominion, The Italian Job: Turbo Coaster replaced Diamond Falls (a giant flume ride) and two of their first water park attractions (a set of steep water slides called FreeFallin' and the original children's area of their water park).
