Sud-Kivu

Sud-Kivu (South Kivu) is a province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its provincial capital is Bukavu. It borders Nord-Kivu to the north, Maniema to the west, and Katanga to the south. To the east it borders Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania. It, along with Nord-Kivu, has been the center of the violence resulting from the Second Congo War.
