Summit Lakes Middle School is a middle school in, Lee's Summit, Missouri. The middle school opened in the fall of 2000 as the Lee's Summit School district's third and most recently opened middle school. Summit Lakes is the home of the Lee's Summit R-VII School District's "Teacher of the Year" for the 2005-2006 school year, Carol Dunn. Current enrollment is approximently 800 students. The mascot of the school is the Falcon (no type specified). The school colors are Dark Blue and Hunter Green. Students come to this school after 6th grade from either Cedar Creek Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, Hawthorn Hill Elementary, Longview Farm Elementary or Trailridge Elementary. Upon completing 8th grade at Summit Lakes, the students will go to Lee's Summit West High School.
