Superman vs. Predator is an intercompany crossover pitting DC Comics icon Superman against the Predator creature first seen in the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger film Predator.

[edit] Previous encounters
A previous storyline had already featured the other DC Comics icon Batman fighting the Predator, while Superman had also been shown battling the Aliens from the Alien film series. Most recently Batman and Superman have been shown battling both the Predators and the Aliens side by side.
[edit] Plot outline
Superman goes to investigate a mysterious alien ship in the Central American jungles, where he is afflicted by a virus that significantly drains his powers. The Predator nonetheless senses he is a worthy opponent and begins stalking him with the intention of making him its next trophy. Though weakened and dazed, Superman takes on the Predator in a battle to save the Earth from falling under the domination of the Predator race, and he has to think of a way to either outwit the creature or use what remains of his strength to overpower him, or else...
