Tajudeen Bioku

Tajudeen Bioku is a writer and director of African origin.
Born in Ibadan (the largest city in Nigeria and the whole of Africa) into a popular royal family, Bioku, which has an inherent right to the Olubadan kingship of the ancient city of Ibadan, Tajudeen’s ability in storytelling was rooted in his upbringing. He attended Ibadan City Council (ICC) Olubadan at Orita Aperin in Ibadan for primary schooling, Muslim Grammar School, Odinjo, Ibadan for his secondary and School of Hygiene in Eleyele, Ibadan, where he studied Pharmacy Technology. After schooling, he worked for more than 3 years with the Oyo State Health Council. First, as an important member of the Pharmacy Department at the State Hospital, Osogbo in old Oyo State for one year. When the newly created Igbajo Primary Health Center @ Kiriji Memorial College, Igbajo in old Oyo State was in need of a competent pharmacy department, Tajudeen was chosen for the plum job of a pharmacy-officer-in-charge. Expectedly, Tajudeen was unflinchingly supported and rooted for by both his subordinates and superior at the Osun Zonal Headquarters, Osogbo. Tajudeen held the position of the Pharmacy-Officer-in-charge of the Igbajo Primary Health Center, Igbajo, in old Oyo State for two years before he was transferred to General Hospital, Ogbomoso also in Oyo State where he worked in the pharmacy department for 1 year before he left the African shores for abroad.
First, he gained admission to the historical University of the District of Columbia, Washington, DC where he studied Chemistry and Mass Media majoring in Television Productions. Though he loved it at UDC, Tajudeen eventually transferred to the prestigious, and one of the best universities in the world, Howard University also in Washington, DC from where he obtained degrees in communications (Radio, Television & Film) and English.
In 1995, Tajudeen formed NUBIAN PRODUCTIONS CORPORATION (NPC), which is an Africa owned media powerhouse in the United States of America. Since its inception in 1995, NPC (via its parent company, BIOKU HOLDINGS,) has consistently churned out quality and professionally produced television, film and animation programs.
In the year 2000, NPC began production of its independent feature, “The Divine Emerald.” Out of his drive to excel in whatever he does, Tajudeen used the best of production crew and equipment that money could buy in the Washington Metro area. He contracted the award-winning Hollywood film composer, H. Scott Salinas, to score the movie and also produce a soundtrack CD from the score. This important collaboration, to wit, resulted in a phenomenon called “The Divine Emerald.”
Tajudeen is a certified and experienced independent television mogul. Working diligently with others on several occasions, Tajudeen produced wonderful television programs for the Montgomery Community Televisions (MCT), Rockville, Maryland, United States of America in the following capacities: Independent Television Field Producer, Independent Television Field Technician, and Independent Television Studio Producer.
Apart from his film and animation production company, Nubian Productions Corporation (NPC), Tajudeen owns other media related and entertainment outlets under the auspices of his holding company, Bioku Holdings, viz., Nubian Televisions, Nubian Radio World-Wide, and NPC Records.Audioworks.
Tajudeen has this message to share with all and sundry: “If you desire any undertaking, go for it. You need to be a risk taker in order to succeed. If you can weather the storm, take the bull by the horn, eventually you will succeed.”
