Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years is an exhibit about the history of Disneyland. It is located on Main Street, U.S.A. in the Opera House, which featured Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln since 1966. There are models of Disneyland attractions and sculptures from designing them. There is also a model of how Disneyland looked on July 17, 1955, its opening day.
There is also a movie which is shown in the same theater as Mr. Lincoln. It features Steve Martin, who once worked at the Magic Shop on Main Street, and Donald Duck. The movie is a humorous look at how Disneyland has changed through out the years. It is 17 minutes long, so it does not have much time to go into detail, but hits most of the highlights. After viewing the show, there is a timeline on the way out showing major events in Disneyland's history, including the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, which is a reworking of the original Submarine Voyage that opened in 1959 and closed in 1998 as part of the new Tomorrowland. It is scheduled to open in 2007. The exhibit premiered on May 5, 2005, and is playing a temporary but indefinite run. It is unknown when Mr. Lincoln will return to Main Street, U.S.A.
