"The Warmth of the Sun" is a song written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love for the American pop band The Beach Boys. It was released on their 1964 album Shut Down Volume 2. The song was written on the evening of President John Kennedy's assassination.
In 2006, it was remade by Matthew Thiessen and the Earthquakes, which is the side project of Matt Thiessen. Thiessen is the lead singer of the Christian rock band Relient K, and has said on many occasions that the Beach Boys are among his favorite bands.
