Tigers (militia)

Tiger militia نمور الأحرار, was the name of the mainly Maronite militia that belonged to National Liberal Party (Lebanon). It was headed since his formation, and until his death, by Dany Chamoun.
It was active in the Lebanese war until it was absorbed into the new "Lebanese Forces" after the Gemayel family's Phalange put up a surprise attack and defeated them in June 1980.
