Times Square (Chinese: 時代廣場) is a shopping centre and office tower complex in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. The shopping centre is popular among teenagers, and also features a movie theatre. The area surrounding the building is a popular venue for New Year countdowns, copying Times Square in New York City. At every New Year's Eve, many people crowd in the building, preparing for the countdown. The complex was opened in April 1994, and is owned by Wharf Properties Limited, part of The Wharf (Holdings) Limited group. The site was previously occupied by the original tram depot of the Hong Kong Tramways, another of the Wharf's subsidiary operations.
