Travis Fryman

David Travis Fryman (born March 25, 1969 in Lexington, Kentucky) is a former third baseman/shortstop in Major League Baseball. From 1990 through 2002, Fryman played for the Detroit Tigers (1990-97) and Cleveland Indians (1998-2002). He batted and threw right handed. Fryman was the starting third basemen for Detroit before joining the expansion Arizona Diamondbacks. During the 1997 off-season, Fryman was traded along with pitcher Tom Martin to the Cleveland Indians for third baseman Matt Williams.
Fryman had his best season in 2000. He established career highs in batting average (.321), slugging percentage (.516), on-base percentage (.392), hits (184), doubles, and RBI. Additionally, he only made 8 errors in the field and had a 60-game errorless streak, on his way to winning a Gold Glove Award.
In 13-season career, Fryman posted a .274 batting average with 223 home runs and 1022 RBI in 1698 games played. Fryman retired after the 2002 season due to injury.
