The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, often shortened to Ultimate Showdown, is a comedy music song by Lemon Demon released on December 7, 2005. It features lyrics from Neil Cicierega of Lemon Demon and Dan Tarbox (Blavad as an online name) with its video, which uses Flash Animation, features the artwork and Flash skills of Shawn Vulliez.
Ultimate Showdown became the "user's choice" on December 28, 2005. It has also appeared on several other websites including Albino Blacksheep, Flash Portal, Transbuddha, Ultimate Gaming,[1] and Weebl's Stuff, gained its own one - sponsored by Flash Portal - at www.ultimateshowdown.org and topped the "Funny Five" on the Dr. Demento Show for several weeks. The video features many famous real and fictional characters, largely taken from 1980s pop culture, in a huge brawl where "...only one will survive". It has gained a large cult following among web enthusiasts[2]. Much to its creators' surprise, Ultimate Showdown's popularity has spurred a significant increase in sales for Lemon Demon's two earlier albums, Damn Skippy and Hip To The Javabean. This has created somewhat of a difficulty for Cicierega in meeting the sudden demand. The song itself is included on Lemon Demon's latest album, Dinosaurchestra, which Cicierega released through a distributor, instead of personally accepting payments and shipping CDs as he has done in the past.

Note that all fighters, except for Mr. Rogers, all die, regardless of any individual explicit or implicit explanation. Though Mr. Rogers impales himself through the abdomen, he survives (for at least until the end of the cartoon) and actually dances despite the flood of blood pouring out of his abdomen.

- Both artists have previously collaborated on a parody web site, eBaumsWorldSucks.com (subtitled "Media for Dumbasses"), along with Abi Rendon (aka LegalCondom). "Lowtax" is seen punching Eric Bauman, a direct reference to this earlier work.

- Aaron Carter appearing to beat up Shaquille O'Neal is a reference to the song by Carter called "And That's How I Beat Shaq" from "Aaron's Party (Come And Get It)".
- Abrahim Lincoln's tombstone reads "I got a Lincoln Log," a reference to Shmorky and Fragmaster's song 'Abe Lincoln' from Something Awful.
- During the start of the second chorus, Samuel L. Jackson is shown being attacked by snakes. This is a direct reference to his movie, Snakes on a Plane.
- Shaquille O'Neal originally appears in the flash cartoon wearing a yellow basketball uniform, but in one shot, that uniform is light green.
- Spock's blood appears red, even though his Vulcan heritage would normally give him green blood.
- Chuck Norris' depiction is another example of Norris being attributed superhuman, or in this case a heavenly (taking 24 other characters to kill him), power much like the popular Chuck Norris Facts.
- A slapping fight seen in the video between Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario is likely a reference to the many Sonic vs. Mario videos that have surfaced on the internet, or to the rivalry between Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis.
- When Chuck Norris first appears, he is wearing a shirt. However, in the next shot it is gone.
- In the animation Robin is seen waiting in the Batcave for Batman to return, and is the only figure from pop culture (aside from DA' CONE, who is the "civillian looking on in total awe") not to die, largely because it is assumed he did not take part in the showdown.
- This song will be #1 on Dr. Demento's Funny 25 of 2006 with 68 points, according to the point system used on the show (#1 in the weekly Funny 5 gets 5 points, #2 gets 4 points, etc). The next closest song as of November 12, 2006 ("You Don't Know Jack" by the great Luke Ski), even if it were to place #1 in the Funny Five for the rest of the chart year, would only be able to attain a maximum of 52 points.
- As of September 22, 2006, the cartoon itself has been viewed over 7.7million times on Newgrounds.
- The Animation is also a YouTube Video available by searching "Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" in an original and subtitled version.
- The scene where Indiana Jones can't find his gun is a reference to a similar scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
- The Rock's t-shirt reads "H*CK YEAH."
- In Destroy All Humans! 2, Cryptosporidium 137's clone, Crypto 138, references this song while fighting Kojira. He sings "Old Kojira was hoppin' around Takoshima city like a big playground" and then talks about how the song gets stuck in his head.
