Western New England College School of Law is a private, independent, American Bar Association-accredited law school in Springfield, Massachusetts, the only ABA-accredited law school in Massachusetts not in the greater Boston area. It is acclaimed for its small sections of students and dynamic faculty.
For more than three-quarters of a century, Western New England College School of Law has been preparing men and women to enter the legal profession. It is fully accredited by the ABA and is a member of the AALS. The school currently offers both full- and part-time programs and are conveniently located 90 miles west of Boston, 90 miles east of Albany, and 150 miles north of New York City. Western New England College School of Law offers a full, well-rounded curriculum taught by experts and scholars in their respective fields—faculty who are interested in helping students learn and understand the law to their fullest ability. WNEC's first-year section size is purposely among the smallest in the country in order to promote collegiality and effective learning. During the first year, day students are in sections of 50 students, and the evening section features a section of 40 students. These small sections encourage greater class participation and allow the students to interact more with each other and with their professors.
