To provide a place for editors interested in editing gambling articles to discuss issues related to those articles, to encourage editors to improve gambling articles and to organise collaboration on gambling articles.

  1. To provide a central location where discussions involving multiple gambling articles can take place.
  2. To improve Wikipedia's coverage of gambling topics in general.
  3. To organize and standardize the basic structure of gambling articles.
  4. To keep articles free of spam while maintaining quality sources, references and appropriate external linking in gambling articles.
  5. To generally raise the quality of notes and references in gambling articles.
  6. The majority of articles within the gambling category are poker articles, which after discussion at the WikiProject Poker are generally structured one way. A goal then is to bring the rest of the gambling articles to a similar quality and style.
