This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the William Sloane Coffin article.

Please correct your encyclopedia. William Sloane Coffin lost his son in a car accident...not a mountain climbing accident. For confirmation, read his eulogy to his son...which is available online.

Someone has already corrected it. In case you come across another such inaccuracy, you can actually fix it yourself if you wish. Simply click the Edit this page link. Dori | Talk 17:56, Mar 8, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Not Funny

Someone with a warped sense of humor(?) has added a sentence to the introductory paragraph that Bill was a supporter of Reagan and his milisary (sic) buildup.

I'd edit it; but it seems to be in a section not readily accessible. Could some good soul pleae delete the offending sentence?

Nothing could be futher form the truth.

[edit] Soviet front

"... President of SANE/Freeze (now Peace Action), the well-known Soviet front organization, ..." Need footnote.

"...He took sabbatical from Yale in 1973, hoping to write his memoirs and save his second marriage. The effort failed. In November 1974, he inflicted a hairline skull fracture on his second wife. He had begun to beat her when they quarreled. " Meeds footnote. --GangofOne 06:11, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

THis seems to be the origin of the stupid edits: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=William_Sloane_Coffin&diff=prev&oldid=48368333 . Will revert. --GangofOne 06:18, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
