Xtra HOT, which started operation in 2005, is an Israeli cable television channel that is part of the HOT cable company. It broadcasts series and talk shows.
The channel broadcasts a range of popular American shows such as Lost, 24, CSI(And other CSI shows), Rome, The Apprentice and more. However, Xtra HOT is Israel's most controversial cable television channel. Since it started operation in 2005, it is being accused to further accelerate the already ongoing process of Americanization in Israel. This is predicted to cause irreversible damage to Israel's culture.
